2026 The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. It will be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams, expanding from the previous 32-team format.

The tournament will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking the first time the event is hosted across three nations. It will also be the first time since 1994 that the World Cup returns to North America.
